The song dates back to the early 90's and is entitled Rats Live on no Evil Star.
ANYONE have seen many member changes throughout the years, but the founding line-up was comprised of Riz Story, Jon Davison and Taylor Hawkins (Pictured Above). At that time Jon Davison, who now sings for the iconic YES, played the bass, and the band were a power trio,
The band would change it's name often during it's early years before Riz settled on the name ANYONE. Early names included Sylvia Dreams of Angels, Blash Meth, Silvia and Real. Taylor was a member of all of them and worked intimately with Riz creating such songs as Giving Thrills, Running Dry, Peace Love and Toxic, Real and many others. Hawkins and Story became best friends and for years the two were inseparable bandmates as they created ANYONE's unique sound.
The song Rats Live on no Evil Star was one of Taylors personal favorites to play. It combines progressive rock with extreme psychedelia, resulting in the bands trademark Maximum Acid sound. Hawkins was a key ingredient with his highly dynamic and visceral approach being a perfect compliment to the deeply progressive and artistic leanings contributed by Story and Davison. This intermingling of power and artistry remain at the root of the ANYONE sound to this day, nearly 30 years later.
